A “touring car” can refer to a classic open-top car suitable for long-distance travel (popular in the early 20th century) or, in a modern context, a premium trim level on a vehicle offering enhanced comfort and luxury features for long journeys. It can also refer to a type of race car in motorsport, which is a specially designed, highly modified version of a production car.
